Fragrance Balm Inspired by Sauvage.

This Fragrance begins with the sharp brilliance of Calabrian bergamot and the dry heat of pepper, a welcome as bracing as the sea wind in Venice, yet as invigorating as the first step onto foreign soil. It speaks of movement, of the thrill of departure into the unknown.

Then the heart unfolds with Sichuan pepper, tingling and exotic, reminding me of distant feasts in the courts of the East. Lavender, pink pepper, and geranium offer refinement like the delicate craftsmanship of a Persian manuscript, while vetiver, patchouli, and elemi root it in the earth, evoking the smoke of incense rising from temple stones still warm from the sun.

And finally, the base ambroxan, cedar, and labdanum deep, dry, and enduring. These are the notes that linger, like the scent of spice in a merchant’s satchel long after the journey ends. The cedar stands tall and noble, the labdanum rich and resinous, and the ambroxan… it drifts like memory, never quite grasped but never fading.
